With Path to Purchase, you make fixed monthly payments while working toward ownership over time. Ownership transfers at the end of the program once all terms have been completed.

No. Path to Purchase gives you a path to possible ownership, but ownership is not automatic.
At the end of the term, you will have options based on your agreement. You may be able to return the vehicle or choose to purchase it. Before you sign, we’ll explain exactly what your end-of-term options are so there are no surprises.

The refundable residual account is money that is set aside during your Path to Purchase program.
At the end of the term, that money may either be returned to you, less any amounts owed and permitted deductions, or applied toward purchasing the vehicle if you choose to exercise your purchase option.
Your agreement will explain how the account works and how the balance is calculated.

A down payment is typically used immediately to reduce the amount being financed.
A refundable residual account works differently. The funds are tracked separately throughout the term of your agreement and may be refunded to you or applied toward the purchase of the vehicle at the end of the program, depending on the option you choose.

Yes. If your agreement includes a purchase option and you decide to buy the vehicle at the end of the term, your refundable residual account balance may be applied toward the purchase price.
We’ll provide the details of your purchase option and any amounts due before you make your decision.

If you return the vehicle according to the terms of your agreement, any remaining balance in your refundable residual account may be returned to you, less any amounts owed and any deductions permitted under your agreement and applicable law.
